In observance of the Atlantic tidal rhythms and shallow shorelines, these prints are an exploration of simplistic sea kelp pressings on paper. The individual titles are derived from names granted to my former house plants by their new caretakers, in preparation for my departure to Ireland.

Working towards relationship with ritual-land-art, and in observance of the Air element, these canvases were laid on the earth below a ‘wind painting’ contraption (made of plant brush suspended from tree branches with ivy vine). The intention was to allow the wind to manipulate the strokes throughout a span of days and weather conditions. These are the resultants of soil, rainwater, and animal agitations.

These assemblages are investigative of combining my love for plant pressing and mending. All materials were foraged and prepared locally in Galway, Ireland. They intend to remain very raw in honour of the beauty in neutrality perceived throughout our planet earth.

These works originated from my studies of fire, gathering admiration for the juxtaposition between simplicity and complexity. The semi-transparent layers are intended to be hung in a sunny windowsill, illuminating the depth of the layered beeswax forms.
